Poached Eggs – Made Easy
The reason
Poached eggs are a healthy was to consume protein. They are low in calories and heart healthy. They are also filled with nutrients and those nutrients are not lost in poaching. There is no butter and the eggs are “poached” in water. There are kettles for poaching eggs; I have one of those. My kettle has

six slots for eggs, and if I want to make one or two eggs, it’s a hassle to get that rarely-used kettle out of the cupboard. It also takes a lot more water and more time to get the water boiling. So when I want to make one or two poached eggs, I use a small skillet.
Simple and easy method
You’ll need a small skillet, water, eggs, and (if you prefer, salt and pepper). Add enough water to the skillet to completely fill the bottom, then bring the water to boil. Once the water is boiling, turn the burner down to low (or simmer), drop in your eggs, season, and top with a lid. I use a glass lid so I can watch the eggs. How long you poach the eggs depends on how hard or runny you want your poached eggs.
Serve then on top of toast, with a side of toast, or just plain if you’re aiming for totally healthy. This simple way to fix eggs just might become your favorite!
