Watermelon Slushee
Watermelon Treat
We stopped for an enjoyable lunch with our son and daughter-in-law, and Katie served up Watermelon Slushee. I had never had this before, but was delighted to give it a try. It was cool, refreshing, and delicious!
It’s also so simple to fix. Kids will love this, and it provides nutrition and liquid for hot summer days. You’ll need two, or possibly things: watermelon, lime, and water. Oh, a blender helps, too.
Serve this up for an afternoon snack, a party, or a potluck. No reason you can’t serve this beverage for breakfast or for an afternoon tea as well. On hot summer days, satisfy the thirst of your kiddos with this refreshing drink. When you want a simple snack, have a try at this instead. It will satisfy your craving for “a little something” to tide you over.
When you’ve got more watermelon than you can eat at the moment, chunk the rest and put it into the freezer. At slushee time, pull out the watermelon, squeeze the juice of a lime, and blend it together. If it’s thicker than you like, add a little water. That’s it!
