Oreo Ice Cream Dessert
Oreo dessert.
This Oreo dessert was served to us one evening, and everyone oohed and aahed over it. I found out it’s an original with my niece Bonita, who made and served it that evening.
“I don’t know why you can’t just use Oreo cookie ice cream,” she said. “But it’s not nearly as good. My family likes it much better when I mix it together like this.”
When you need something quick, simple, and delicious that you can fix ahead, try this recipe. You can make it days ahead and pull it out when the time is right. You can freeze this in smaller containers and use it for two separate occasions if you have more than one event close together. or, freeze it up in individual containers for a party. I suggest this for outdoor parties. Freezing individual containers helps control serving sizes, especially if you are planning a party for kids.
The how to
To make this dessert, simply mix the three ingredients together, put into a container, and freeze. Make sure you get everything mixed in well. Before serving, remove from the freezer and allow it to soften enough to serve. Adults and kids alike will enjoy this.
You’ll need three ingredients for this recipe: vanilla ice cream, Oreo cookies, and cool whip. How hard is that?!
