Protein Balls – 4 Ingredients
Protein Balls
Protein balls are a great fix and don’t take a lot of time! When you need something for quick energy, nutritious energy, or a power bomb to help a kid get through a food crunch, mix these up. I have my personal favorite brand of peanut butter, but you can use your favorite.
I use regular oatmeal, but some recipes call for quick oatmeal. Instant oatmeal makes the balls a finer texture. I like to use honey from my area because it helps me fight pollen. Choose your favorite chocolate chips – dark or light, it matters not. Your purpose in choosing the ingredients is to fix the protein balls so your family (and friends) will eat them.
You can add wheat germ, chai seeds, or flax seeds – or other seeds if you life. Because I serve these for children, I usually leave out the other seeds. If I’m making them for me, I sometimes add flax seeds.
