Who He Is!    Christmas is not about things. It is about Jesus.

He is –

A Child

Born Holy,

He is our Redeemer;

–[God with us]— Immanuel

Before time, the Son of God

He is the Way,  the Truth, and the Life

No Christmas magic- a Miracle!

He is from the Beginning,  All Powerful

Glorious, conquering King, our Savior!

A note from My Windowsill: 

There are many songs based on scripture that tell us Who Jesus is. These songs tell us why He came, what He did while He was here, where His ministry occurred, and even how He ministered to those He encountered. These songs are based on scripture and are not just some made up story about a man. The best part about Christmas is Easter. The greatest symbol the Christian has is the empty tomb. At Christmas, we celebrate not only the Baby in the manger; we celebrate a risen King.

We have a Savior who – unlike any other religions – is alive today. Our Savior conquered death – and that is why He came. Our Savior is also coming back to claim His bride, one day. Unlike other religions, our Savior is conqueror, forever. I hope these songs will bless you, not only during this season, but in the coming year.

For me, personally, I remember singing this song – I Know That My Redeemer Liveth – at the funeral of my aunt. It was a tearful day for me, and the words of this song brought much comfort when I sang with others who were also mourning. I know, I know!!
