Thimble Cookies
Easy to mix up and fun to make. Even small children can help roll these into balls.
Ingredients
- margarine - 1 cup
- butter - 1 cup
- 1 cup sugar
- 8 egg yolks
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
- Cream margarine, butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolks and beat thoroughly, adding vanilla.
- Gradually work in flour until blended.
- Shape into ball and put on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Press a hole into the middle with a thimble or your thumb.
- Fill the hole with strawberry jam.
- Bake at 325 on an ungreased cookie sheet.
