Homemade Pizza Dough and Pizza Sauce

This recipe makes three large pans of pizza. When I only need one pan, I make the recipe as always. Then I put the leftover dough into individual dough rounds, wrap it in waxed paper, and put it into a freezer bag. When I'm ready to use it again, I take out what I need and let it thaw at room temperature for two to three hours.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups regular flour
  • 1 Tbsp.. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 4 Tbsp. olive oil 1/4 cup
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3-4 more cups flour
  • Add sauce. Add pizza ingredients.

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a bowl
  • Add hot water and olive oil.
  • Mix in 3-4 cups flour until dough is the right texture.
  • Press dough onto greased pizza pan.
  • If the dough is sticky, dip fingers in flour or cornmeal.
  • Add sauce
  • Add pizza ingredients
  • After baking for 15 minutes, remove from oven and add shredded cheese
  • Return to oven until cheese is melted
  • Bake at 425
  • Total baking time for crust is 20 minutes.
