Casselman Special Sandwich
An easy sandwich with a different twist. Make it with or without a hamburger tucked inside.
Ingredients
- Sliced bread - two per sandwich
- Mayonaise - enough for spreading sandwiches
- Cheese - enough for each sandwich
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Cornflakes - crushed; about 2 cups
- Olive oil or Vegetable oil for frying
- Hamburger optional one per sandwich
Instructions
- Spead bread with mayonaise
- Place cheese inside sandwich
- Mix milk and egg together well
- Crush cornflakes as fine as you want them
- Dip sandwich in egg mixture, then in cornflake crumbs
- Fry in a thin coating of oil OR deep fat fry
- IF using hamburger, fry and drain hamburger into a thin patty, then place inside sandwich before frying
