Oven Baked Catfish
About oven-baked fish
Any type of fish is a healthy deal for all of us. Baking fish in an oven makes it even more healthy. Here is a simple, easy recipe that can be used for any fish. All you need for oven baked catfish is real butter (or olive oil), sea salt and pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. You can add other seasonings if you’d like -cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, or garlic or onion powder, for example.
Catfish is one of the healthiest ways to feed your family a low-calorie dish. It contains Vitamin B, Omega-3 and proteins. Add this to your menu to provide simple nutrition for your family.
The how to
Put your fish on a non-stick pan (or grease a regular pan to keep the fish from sticking). You don’t need a lot of it, but you’ll want enough to keep it from sticking and burning. Brush melted butter on top, then season as you like. Some folks like more seasoning than others. That’s okay. Fix it the way you like it. Use the seasonings – and the amounts – that you like.
Bake at 400 for 20+ minutes. Turn fish over half-way through baking. Season the other side of the fish once you turn it oven. You can tell the oven-bake fish is done when it is nicely browned and flakes nicely.
