Homemade Granola

Serves: 1 gallon
- 8 cups oatmeal
- 2 cups oat bran
- 2 cups wheat germ
- 2 cups flax seed (ground)
- 2 cups almonds and sesame seeds, chopped in a blender and mixed in any combination
- Cinnamon
- Optional: Chia seeds, cranberries, and/or raisins
- Sauce: 1½ cups brown sugar
- 1½ cups butter
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- Measure oatmeal
- Mix other dry ingredients together
- Combine oatmeal with other dry ingredients
- For sauce, heat ingredients until melted
- Mix sauce with dry ingredients
- Put onto two cookie sheets and sprinkle with cinnamon (optional)
- Bake at 250 for 1½ hours, stirring every 15 minutes
- Store in air-tight container
