Browned butter done in a cast-iron skillet and poured over homemade mashed potatoes are the best, and a great substitute for gravy!
  • 2-4 Tablespoons real butter (The amount of butter you use depends on how large your bowl of mashed potatoes is). This amount serves 8 people.
  1. Heat cast-iron skillet (or other skillet) on stove top on medium
  2. Place 2-4 Tablespoons real butter in the skillet
  3. Allow butter to melt, then slowly turn brown
  4. Pour over homemade mashed potatoes
  5. Serve
