A soft bread that's easy to make and includes milk in the recipe. Makes 5-6 loaves of bread and can easily be done in an afternoon.
Ingredients
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 9 Tablespoons sugar,
  • 3 Tablespoons salt
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1½ cups warm water
  • 5 Tablespoons yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 cups wheat bread flour
  • 10 cups white bread flour
Instructions
  1. Heat milk and water (3 cups) until bubbles appear around sides
  2. Add sugar, salt, and vegetable oil
  3. Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast together
  4. When milk is lukewarm, add yeast mixture
  5. Add 4 cup wheat flour
  6. Gradually add 10 cups white flour
  7. Mix and knead well
  8. Put dough into a greased bowl and cover, allowing it to rise
  9. Punch down at least once more and let it rise
  10. Divide dough into 5 or 6 loaves and put into greased bread pans
  11. Punch through loaves
  12. Let rise again
  13. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until done
