Cream Cheese Spread
All things cream cheese.
If you like cream cheese half as much as I do, you will like this cream cheese spread. It’s a quick whip-up and adds flavor and flair to any event. Use it on bagels, toast, lightly toasted sour dough bread, or crackers.
You can use honey or real maple syrup to sweeten it, and then add cinnamon to taste. If you’re not a fan of cinnamon, you probably won’t taste the cinnamon in this spread.
Cream cheese is high in fat and is a good source of Vitamin A and riboflavin. Vitamin A is important for vision and the immune system in addition to other benefits. Riboflavin is a B vitamin, and is also known as B2. The B vitamins are important for energy and necessary to metabolize fats and protein.
While a tablespoon of this cream cheese spread will not provide enough of these vitamins for your daily needs, it’s good to know that cream cheese is not only fat! In addition, you can use low-fat cream cheese or use the whipped (or make your own) because it contains less fat than regular cream cheese.
